Slow Food Denver works to create a more just and sustainable food system by reconnecting the Denver Metro community with the people, traditions and ecosystems that produce our food. Founded in 2001 as a chapter of Slow Food USA, we drive lasting change through joy and justice, focusing our mission on:
Youth Empowerment: Engaging children through hands-on cooking and gardening classes.
Consumer Education: Hosting community workshops to encourage conscious consumption and living.
Producer Support: Awarding the Snail of Approval to local businesses that share our values.
Food Equity: Mobilizing volunteers to support gardens in underserved communities.
Advocacy: Supporting policy work to build a fair and resilient local food system.
