SME (Society of Mining & Metallurgical Exploration) is a non-profit organization with a vision to build a better world through mining, metallurgy and underground construction. The mission is to serve the mining, resources and underground construction communities for a sustainable future.
The Southern California Section of SME supports that mission and vision by gathering 4–5 times a year for a meal, a speaker, and meaningful connection. These meetings allow us to share ideas, exchange resources, strengthen industry relationships, and support students and young professionals as they begin their careers in mining.
