After two decades of songwriting, and a decade of creating transformative theatre with non-actors from marginalised communities at Rebus Theatre, I’ve witnessed the incredible power of storytelling to inspire, heal, and connect. As a singer-songwriter with years of experience crafting award-winning indie folk music and a lifetime of channeling my own emotions into song, I know firsthand how music can help us process, express, and share our stories.
That’s why I’ve created Songwriting for Non-Songwriters, an online community for people looking to develop a new skill, hobby, or way to just get those feelings out.
You don’t need a background in music to participate—just a love for storytelling and the courage to explore your creativity. Together, we’ll break down the fundamentals of songwriting into simple, actionable steps that anyone can follow.
