We are a community string orchestra playing mostly classical music. Our rehearsals are at New Town on Tuesday nights during school terms.
Playing music with an orchestra can be such a rewarding experience. We learn a lot as we play while staying in step with those beside us as well as other sections. We are here for the enjoyment and learning to play better
We want to be very welcoming to musicians of all levels. Some of us have joined the orchestra after only 6 months of playing. I am not saying we played well! But this is a recognition of the acceptance of new players by the orchestra. We are all learning
We would love to hear from you if you are interested in playing with us. You have the options of playing casually, signing up for a term or a full year
For 2025 we will be trying many different ways to enjoy and share our music. This will be exciting
