The Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) AZ organization existing to support and enrich the lives of children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Born in 1983, Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks (ACS&S) is one of the longest running pediatric oncology camps in the country and one of the only that also serves siblings.
AZ Camp Sunrise serving pediatric cancer survivors, is medically supervised and promotes a normal environment for those with special medical needs. AZ Camp Sidekicks serves their siblings. Camp gives children the chance to meet others who share similar unique experiences and to build friendships that lend encouragement and strength throughout the year. They are a safe space, and a place for our campers to heal from the mental and emotional scars that a cancer diagnosis creates.
