SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY works to promote positive mental health and prevent suicide by normalising conversations about mental health and promoting that nothing is so bad that we can't talk about it.
The team creates and delivers programs and presentations, trainings, community events and fundraisers to workplaces, communities, sporting clubs, and schools throughout Tasmania (and broader Australia).
Mitch McPherson established Stay ChatTY in 2013 after his younger brother, Ty, died by suicide; and has been sharing his personal story of loss for more than a decade to encourage and inspire others to speak up and seek support when they go through difficult times.
All donations and funds raised for SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY continue to be used solely to further our mission: showing up, sharing stories, and stopping stigma.
