Alison Bogg is a textile artist who runs workshops as part of her studio practice - Spring Indigo Textiles Studio in Bingie, NSW. Trained at NIDA (Design 1987), for many years she worked for companies including Melbourne Theatre Company, Opera Australia, Handspan, Australian Dance Theatre, Sydney Olympics 2000, ABC & SBS. Her background encompasses set/costume design, costume technology, textile arts, puppetry, & arts education. Her experience as a costume designer & art-finisher informs & inspires her work, with a focus on experimenting with textile surface design, indigo dyeing & shibori. Workshops are an important facet of her arts practice, kindled by her experience as a creative arts teacher in schools. Exhibitions include Shimmering at Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre & Belconnen Arts Centre, Landmarks EFTAG/River of Art Festival & The Space Between in Moruya, which she curated and coordinated. Alison is a member of the Eurobodalla Fibre & Textile Artists Group (EFTAG), Narooma School of Arts & Craft Australia.
