St Patrick’s College is a Catholic secondary school for girls in the Good Samaritan tradition, operating under the trusteeship of Good Samaritan Education. Our charism is shaped by the spirit of our patron, St Patrick, and enriched by the wisdom of St Benedict.
Our story began in 1840, when Bishop Polding, a Benedictine monk, blessed the foundation stone of the first St Patrick’s site on 17 March. This historic moment established the College as the oldest Catholic independent school in Australia to be built and funded entirely by local enterprise, without government assistance.
Today, St Patrick’s College stands as one of Australia’s oldest all-girls schools and remains the only independent girls’ school in the Macarthur region.
