Formed in Louisville in 2010, Steely Danish is a collective of musicians and longtime friends who gather a few times a year to run through the majority of Steely Dan's catalog from 1971-1980. (We know, the later Steely Dan records are also great...) With multiple lead singers bringing out the various characters within Steely Dan songs, Steely Danish exceed expectations of what one might expect from a tribute band. Or not. With the exception of a few long, mid-tempo heady tunes, Steely Danish will make you dance your a$$ off and feel cool.
