Building a hub where the Bays belong
The Sumner Sports Pavilion is located on St Leonard's Square in Sumner, New Zealand. The facility has been the heart of the Sumner and surrounding Bays community since the 1950's but it no longer meets our community's needs and as such we are building a new one!
We’re creating more than just a sports pavilion, we’re building a vibrant community hub for the Bays. Designed for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, this space will offer proper facilities for training, competition, and connection. It’s a place where everyone can feel welcome, supported, and inspired to thrive, from grassroots players to future champions.
The new pavilion will provide a much-needed home for local sports and recreation groups, including touch rugby, junior leagues, and walking clubs. It will be a gathering place for generations, where friendships are formed, skills are nurtured, and the community comes together in sport and spirit.
