Susan Le Roux is The Champagne Goddess — a WSET Level III Champagne educator, storyteller and presenter with a lifelong background in five-star hospitality, luxury travel and creating memorable experiences.
Her career has taken her from nine years aboard private superyachts in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South Pacific to luxury hotels, events and bespoke travel - and, more recently, leading Champagne journeys through Paris and the Champagne region itself, alongside sparkling-wine experiences closer to home in Tasmania and the Adelaide Hills.
Susan created The Champagne Goddess to make champagne fascinating, accessible and, above all, fun. Her events combine the wine with the stories behind it: the places, people, history, extraordinary characters and remarkable women who helped shape Champagne into what it is today.
She is currently writing her upcoming book exploring the Women of Champagne — because, quite frankly, where would Champagne be without them? — and launching her new Specialist Champagne Course: think Champagne course meets book club… with considerably better refreshments.
From intimate tastings and The Art of Sabrage to corporate events, specialist courses and journeys to Champagne itself, Susan’s philosophy is simple: Champagne should be celebrated, understood and enjoyed — never intimidated by.
