Wishes was created after the death of my father-in-law in 2021.
His death was unexpected and it broke my heart watching my husband struggle with not only the grief but the guilt of not knowing certain things.
Did his father want to be buried or cremated?
Where did he want to be laid to rest?
How did he want to be remembered?
I decided that the topic of death hadn't been discussed enough. Mostly because it can be a confronting and uncomfortable conversation, but it's also a depressing conversation! I decided a book would be a good way of having the conversation without actually having the conversation, but I also hope the book with help normalise the subject as, let's face it - we are all going to pass away at some point!
The Wishes book was created not to be a will or replace a will. This isn't a legal document, just a list of questions for each individual to complete so that loved ones don't have to face the same questions my husband faced during such a difficult time.
Complete this book in your own handwriting, leaving your family with all the answers they need to continue on, at peace.
Don't leave your family with questions, leave them with Wishes.
