The Sydney French Open is a fundraising tennis event
gathering the Francophile & tennis community in Sydney
The 13th edition will take place on 23 & 24 January 2027 at the Eastside Tennis centre near Maroubra (postponed from 3 and 4 October 2026 due to adverse weather forecast)
Its purpose is to support the charity Redkite which helps New Caledonian families coming to Children’s Hospital Westmead for their child cancer treatment
The SFO contributes to ~40% of the annual Redkite budget for those families. It is 100% volunteer based, all proceeds to Redkite
In 2025, it gathered 150 players & 350 spectators on site and helped raise $25k for Redkite with the historical support of BNP Paribas Australia and the Consulate general of France in Sydney. Since inception, the tournament has now raised more than $130k for RedKite.
