We created Tauranga Food Forest as a living space to explore what becomes possible when food growing, biodiversity, and natural systems are brought together in one place.
Through guided walks, we share how a wide variety of edible plants can be grown together in layered, low-input systems that support healthy soil, plant diversity, and productive growing.
Visitors will see familiar and lesser-known edible plants, offering a chance to discover new species in context.
We aim to offer a guided and practical experience that shares real examples and ideas directly from the food forest itself.
Our intention is to help people feel inspired and more confident experimenting with diverse, resilient ways of growing food, and to connect with others interested in local food growing.
