The NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Tuberculosis Control on Both Sides of our Border (TB CRE) is an interdisciplinary Centre of Research Excellence funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council over 5 years. We support world-class research aimed to improve TB control in Australia and our region through new and existing research initiatives on public health and clinical interventions, epidemiological studies and laboratory science approaches to provide new tools for TB control and prevention.
The Melbourne TB Community (MTBC) purpose is to promote collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and the community to strengthen local capacity and develop a coordinated tuberculosis (TB) research effort. The MTBC is a multi-disciplinary group comprised of academic, clinical, and allied health practitioners who will optimise science and practise relating to TB – the world’s oldest and deadliest pandemic.
