Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori (The Māori Language Commission) is dedicated to the normalisation and promotion of te reo Māori. Established under the Māori Language Act 1987, the Commission works to support the survival and growth of the Māori language. Through various initiatives, including language planning, certification of translators, and public awareness campaigns, Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori aims to foster a vibrant, living language that is spoken and cherished by all New Zealanders every day.
