That’s Amore Cheese is a producer of gourmet Italian style cheese, made using traditional recipes and methods, right here in Thomastown, Melbourne. Only using the best quality cow and buffalo milk sourced locally in Victoria, all products are 100% natural and free of preservatives, artificial colours and animal rennet.
It was August 2004 when founder, Giorgio Linguanti, migrated to Melbourne and without knowing a word of English, got a job in a cheese factory. Giorgio thought cheese making looked challenging at the time, but this is where his interest and passion for cheesemaking was ignited.
In 2008, after having experience in two different cheese factories, Giorgio started his own business - That’s Amore Cheese. He began with just one product: Bocconcini Leaf. This became a huge hit with Melbourne based Italian restaurants. Soon after, he expanded his range to include Burrata and Smoked Scamorza. Chefs admired his artisan skills in handmade cheeses and were very excited by his products.
Giorgio became a cheese maker for the love of creating almost an unlimited number of products from just one ingredient – milk. Today, Giorgio has a team of over 130 across several departments, a Cheesery (with a second location coming soon!), a sister brand, Giorgio’s Artisan cheese, newly available in select Coles stores nationwide, services over 500 of your favourite restaurants, and produces more than 60 different types of cheese.
