Carked It! is an hilarious death-themed card game created as a project by The Ageing Revolution – an organisation that began as a force to address ageism. This unconventional party game, that encourages and stimulates better conversations around dying and death, has been co-designed and partially funded by the Good Death Impact Network.
Carked It! is about something none of us can avoid — the inevitable end of us all.
But that doesn’t mean we have to be gloomy about it.
It’s a funny, irreverent card game to play with friends, family or a bunch of people who’ve just met. How well do you really know the people around you? You might discover things you never knew, settle a few arguments, and have a good laugh along the way.
But underneath the laughs, Carked It! has a more serious purpose. It creates an easy, low-pressure way to start conversations that can otherwise feel awkward or difficult — what matters to us, what we want, what happens to our stuff, and what we'd like at the end of our lives.
Because talking about death doesn’t have to be deadly serious.
