The Diner Divas (est 2011ish) are a Dynamic Duo from Australia.
Michelle Borwick (Woolley) and Honora Jenkins have been performing together as The Diner Divas, Daphne and Dolly Diva, since early 2012. The multitalented duo integrate their various skills with a light-hearted fun approach to act development, show creation and production. Entertaining themselves and audiences at local theatres, festivals, community and fundraising events ever since.
A Brief History
First meeting at a Circus Wow Aerial Class back in late 2011 and teaming up in 2012 to develop (with support from their trainers and class mates) a Double Lyra act for the Circus WOW 10-year anniversary show at the Vault in Port Kembla, NSW Australia.
In 2014 with the support of some talented friends and the owners of the beautiful new Dance Space, Michelle and Honora, produced their first full length show, The Diner Divas Rock’n’Roll Cabaret, which sold out.
The Divas enjoyed collaborating with performers and venues and in 2015, they teamed up with “Little Joe’s Kitchen and Bar” a small business located in Dapto. Bringing in two additional local circus performers, they created a 4 person ensemble called, The Dangerous D’Lights and produced their first full length cabaret dinner show, Speak Easy. Which also sold out.
Excited to bring their 1920’s themed characters, The Dangerous D’Lights, to a wider audience and provide opportunity for more local performers, the Divas produced a spin off, called, “Speak Easy and Dance Hard”. They went back to DanceSpace for this fun, dinner and dance variety show. Another sell out.
In 2016, Michelle produced her first child, so The Diva’s pressed pause, until she was given the all clear to drive.
A sequel show, The Dangerous D’Lights, Prohibition is Over was created and produced by The Diner Divas and Little Jo in 2017. This show came with a murder mystery twist and new cast members, including bar and kitchen staff. Yes, another sold out show.
In 2018, Michelle produced her second child, so The Diva’s pressed pause again, until she was given the all clear to drive.
To help spread the workload, the duo picked up a third character and entered the Illawarra Short & Sweet Cabaret and Comedy Festival. The Diner Divas + 1, won their round and then …
2020 Covid put the brakes on pretty hard, forcing The Diner Divas to cancel their planned 1980’s themed Cabaret Show, and wait.
While waiting, Michelle produced her third child, in 2020. In 2022 she got hitched and knocked up again, producing her Fourth child in 2023. Phew! What a busy Diva.
In 2024 and 2025 The Divas were invited to perform at Circus WOW’s end of year shows. It is here where the two eldest children joined The Divas on stage.
