The Eleanor Bryant Memorial Fund was established to honour the life of Eleanor Jane Bryant, a young mother, wife and speech therapist whose life was tragically cut short in November 2024. Eleanor was the type of person who always gave of herself for others and lived her life everyday putting others first. She dedicated her career to education and working with children through her profession of speech pathology. Eleanor was passionate about making speech therapy services accessible to children in remote areas and was pleased to be able to do this in her hometown, Coonamble, to which she would travel regularly from Victoria and provide much-needed assessments and therapy.
Under the guidance of her husband, Tim, Eleanor’s family and close friends have created this memorial fund to offer ongoing scholarships. These scholarships will support rural students pursuing studies or training in allied health and early childhood fields, with the aim of improving access to crucial special needs services for children and families in rural communities. The memorial fund will partner with the Country Education Foundation of Australia to award and oversee these scholarships.
The The Eleanor Bryant Memorial Fund is a sub fund of Australian Communities Foundation.
