The Rotary Club of Mindarie was chartered in November 2010 and falls within Rotary District 9423. We combine enthusiasm and the fun of working together to further the goals of Rotary.
We are involved with the local community to raise funds and work on local community projects. Some of our current projects include:
Paint Wanneroo REaD – books for children with RED reading boxes located in the community, to encourage children to read books and parents to read with children.
Battlefield Blue – support for Service & Frontline people coping with life pressures by fundraising through sales of badges, & branded merchandise to assist research & support organisations.
Peace Poles – arranging Peace Poles to be located in schools, early Learning Centres and Parks. As a symbol of peace, recipient organizations choose languages displaying the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth”. Currently located at Edgewater, Somerly and Yanchep Rise Primary Schools.
4 Way Test Speaking Competition – conducted annually by invitation to Year 6 and Year 10 students. Club heats occur in July, Semi Final in August, State Final in September. Subject matter student’s choice, but 4 Way Test must be embodied into speech. Adjudication based on Content, Delivery and integration of Rotary 4 Way Tests words and principles.
