The Salty Sirens

Lovers of swell sea shanties and rollicking raucous singalongs with a modern, queer twist. Sapphic sailors Kristy Capstanfield and Elyse Fishpatrick have been performing together since someone handed them a beer at the circus in 2019. They've since been hauling on the harmonies and heaving on the bellows at their Meanjin/Brisbane event Shanty Club with The Salty Sirens. Accompanied by accordion 'Moni' and occasionally backed by a ragtag band of Irate Pirates, The Salty Sirens share tales of hard work, daring adventure, defiance and debauchery.
