Tillman Wine Merchants was born from a love of wine, travel, and discovering places that deserve far more recognition than they receive. After travelling through Portugal and experiencing its incredible wine culture firsthand, we fell in love with the people, the history, and most importantly, the wines.
We believe Portugal produces some of the best wines in the world, yet it remains one of the most underrated wine regions globally. In our eyes, Portuguese wines deserve to stand proudly alongside those of France and Italy as part of the great old-world wine conversation.
Our mission isn’t to replace New Zealand, French, Italian, or other great wines. It’s to complement them by introducing Kiwis to another beautiful and historic wine-producing region that hasn’t yet received the global recognition it deserves.
