TORTUGA- a daring new arts festival for Port Macquarie!
TORTUGA is a vibrant celebration of cabaret, circus, acrobatics, live music, neo burlesque, puppetry shows, comedy, and immersive arts and cultural workshops. Featuring a Spiegeltent set within a festival hub on Birpai land, Port Macquarie, showcasing high quality acts from regional and touring artists, TORTUGA is an inclusive community event.
Created by husband and wife duo, Gordo Gamsby and Lucy Gamsby Frost of Bare Maximum Pty Ltd.
Gordo and Lucy have travelled the globe for 15 years performing and collaborating with some of the world’s largest arts events such as Burning Man USA, Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Glastonbury Festival, the National Theatre in London and more.
In 2019 they settled back in Port Macquarie, Gordo’s home town, to start a family of their own. 3 years, 1 pandemic and 1 baby later they are ready to bring their brand of entertainment to Port Macquarie for the TORTUGA Festival.
