Mission and purpose
Tour de Cure started with a dream – a dream of a cancer-free future. It’s a big task, but one that we won’t shy away from. Find out how we’re making that dream a reality.
We’re tackling cancer, head-on
Tour de Cure began with a powerful dream – to cure cancer by funding groundbreaking research. Since our inception in 2007, we’ve raised more than $177 million in our pursuit of this dream, driven by the passion of our people, the dedication of our event participants and volunteers, and the unwavering support of our invaluable partners and sponsors. We know that cancer is curable and we specialise in funding the most promising projects to achieve this goal.
Tour de Cure’s mission: Curing Cancer, Changing Lives
Our mission is bold and daring, but it drives everything we do. Tour de Cure strives to accelerate scientific advancements and breakthroughs, bringing us closer to a future where cancer is no longer life-threatening. We are dedicated to discovering new treatments, enhancing existing ones, and improving the lives of those affected by the disease.
Our purpose
We believe the biggest way we can make an impact is by raising money that the innovative Australian research and science community needs to unlock new approaches.
Not everyone can be a scientist, but everyone can play a part in helping to cure cancer by joining a Tour de Cure event to fundraise, making donations, or volunteering their time to our cause.
Cancer touches the lives of all of us, and we all share the goal of a cancer-free future. By bringing together individuals, families and corporate partners, we can fund the most talented scientists working on world-class cancer research projects aiming for the greatest impact.
