Port Douglas Daintree Tourism Limited trading as Tourism Port Douglas Daintree is the sole recognised tourism marketing organisation for the Douglas Shire council region, in Tropical North Queensland. The region stretches from the coastal areas of Wangetti to Bloomfield and includes the townships of Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree Village and Cape Tribulation.
Established in 2006, the organisation strives to make substantial advances in raising the profile of tourism and the region to the regional, domestic and international arenas. We are a not-for-profit company reporting to the Tourism Port Douglas Daintree Board of Directors, which is a mix of in-market representatives of the tourism industry, as well as community leaders.
We work collaboratively with the Douglas Shire Council, our members and industry and regional, state and national tourism organisations and key stakeholders to effectively promote the natural assets of the region to trade and consumer domestic and international markets and media.
