Join us for a deeply immersive half-day event created for whānau—a welcoming, inclusive space to honour the season of Puaka Matariki through a rich blend of traditional and contemporary wellness practices.

Grounded in tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori, this wānaka (learning space) invites participants to reflect, reconnect, move, and restore. Guided by the wisdom of te iwa o Matariki (the nine stars of Matariki), each part of the day will align with the unique qualities of these whetū—offering pathways for reflection, remembrance, and nourishment.

Expect a nurturing atmosphere where Cacao, Breathwork, Sound, Movement and Mindfulness are thoughtfully woven together reflecting Indigenous knowledge systems. This experience is for all who seek a deeper connection to the rhythms of Te Taiao (the natural world) and the intrinsic connection to our Hauora through the sacred significance of the Matariki season.

This is an invitation to gather for whakatā wairua—a sacred pause—as we huritao (reflect) on the year that has passed and set intentions for the year ahead. Leave feeling grounded, uplifted, and more deeply connected to the wairua of Matariki, to a sense of self, connection, and a renewed state of Hauora.

Lead Facilitators:

Marōtini is your local Cacao dealer with her business Ka kā wā Confectionary. Ka kā wā creates time and space for you to reignite your inner flame. We celebrate the ritual in the everyday. Taking notice of the small moments, the bubbles of joy, the moments of sadness, and allowing them to be held and processed in any way that feels right to you and your Wairua.

We are big fans of Somatic Movement, Breathwork and hands in the soil as Rongoā for the Soul, alongside Ka kā wā these create potent moments of release, energising and uplifting, allowing creation to unfold the journey ahead. Our Cacao is handcrafted on the beautiful whenua of Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe and Waitaha in Waitati, Ōtepoti, Aotearoa from our Pacific neighbours in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.

Tee creates a space where you can;
lay down the armour, feel what’s been tucked away to meet yourself again — beyond the patterns, beyond the stories.

A place to honour meaningful practices that nurture deeper connection and holistic healing. I invite you to return to your core essence and lasting wellbeing — a gentle space to reconnect, restore, and realign with what truly matters.

If you’re standing in the in-between — tender, tired, or quietly seeking —
you’re in the right place.
Come as you are.
There’s something here for you.
