UP Theater Company offers fully produced professional theater to its community in Northern Manhattan, developing daring new work that challenges its audience’s preconceived notions. Established in 2010, UP has produced many world premieres and has demanded attention with its diverse theatrical endeavors, including cunning interpretations of old-time radio plays like Richard Diamond and Escape!, al fresco summer readings of re-imagined classics, Showing UP variety shows, where artists share their works in progress, and our Dead of Winter play reading series, where many of their main-stage productions incubate.
