Aim: To promote sustainable natural resource management and conservation through environmental stewardship, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, learning and engagement to promote community resilience and inclusion.
To ensure the ecologically sensitive restoration, development and maintenance of the Williamson’s Creek catchment, all tributaries, corridors and associated ecological communities within our surrounding areas.
- Covers approx. 10,000 ha. The group’s area includes rich volcanic soils around Mt. Buninyong and Scotsburn and areas of Durham Lead and Clarendon.
- Part of the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority and Yarrowee/Leigh catchment.
- Spans Ballarat City and Moorabool Shire Council municipalities.
- Approx. 500 landholders within the area.
- Meetings are held on the last Thursday of February, April, June, August and October at the Scotsburn Hall at 7.30pm.
