UQ Art Museum is a site for progressive and contemporary creative inquiry. Our work speaks to the distinct context of the Art Museum’s place within the University. We aim to connect each visitor with new ideas in creative practice, and with learning in its many forms.

We collect and exhibit progressive works of art, which stimulate dialogue and debate. We’re committed to opening up dialogue with the faculties, research institutes and centres of the University, and to place education at the core of our activities.

Through our programs we hope to inspire, learn with and connect to our communities both inside and outside the University. We invite you to join one of our events on site to experience a new way to connect with art and ideas.

The University of Queensland (UQ) acknowledges the Traditional Owners and their custodianship of the lands on which UQ operates. We pay our respects to their Ancestors and their descendants, who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise their valuable contributions to Australian and global society.
