Valley Verges is a community-led, volunteer-run initiative based in White Gum Valley, Fremantle. They transform suburban verge spaces—those underutilised strips of land between footpaths and roads—into thriving native biodiversity gardens.
By organising practical workshops, building habitat infrastructure, and fostering grassroots participation, Valley Verges showcases how communities can regenerate local ecosystems, support endangered species, and combat the climate crisis at a local scale.
