About Victim Support Service (VSS) South Australia
Victim Support Service (VSS), the peak body representing and providing services to victim-survivors of crime and abuse in South Australia.
VSS is a state-wide, independent non-government organisation providing support to people affected by crime and abuse since 1979. A rights-based organisation delivering trauma informed, person-centred services to victims of crime and abuse, these include systems navigation, information, and warm referrals, as well as Redress Support services for adult survivors of institutional child sexual abuse, and support at Court. Our Volunteer Court Companion Program is now in its 43rd year in South Australia, and continues as our foundation program, attracting government and philanthropic funding across SA.
VSS is a leading organisation addressing the trauma associated with crime and abuse. Our purpose is to provide integrated justice support services to victim-survivors. We're proud to service victims and witnesses in South Australia by campaigning for their rights and helping to improve their experiences of the criminal justice system.
