The Victorian Asbestos Forum is an inter-agency working group that:

  • promotes a whole-of-government approach to asbestos identification, removal and disposal in Victoria
  • leads Victoria’s implementation of the Asbestos National Strategic Plan 2019–23 (National Strategic Plan).

The National Strategic Plan, coordinated by the Commonwealth Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency, ensures a nationally consistent and coordinated approach to asbestos awareness, management and removal.
