Virg (they/she), MA, LMHC, P-RDT is a licensed mental health counselor, artist, and grief tender based in Seattle, WA. They hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Drama Therapy from Antioch University Seattle, and are certified in Traumatic Bereavement Care through the MISS Foundation. Virg believes that grief, when held in community, becomes a portal for individual and communal healing — and has dedicated much of their practice to creating spaces where that can happen. Their work is rooted in storytelling, embodiment, creativity, and mindfulness as sacred tools for individual and collective transformation, and is informed by the teachings of Francis Weller, Joanna Macy, and the long human lineage of communal grieving. A background in performance art and circus entertainment brings a spirit of warmth and play into everything they do — including the tender work of sitting with sorrow and hope together.
