Wai Kōkopu is a community‑driven, farmer‑led project working to restore the health of the Waihi Estuary catchment — from our lakes to the sea. Once one of the most degraded estuaries in New Zealand, we’re bringing together farmers, iwi, scientists, and locals to improve water quality, revive wetlands, enhance biodiversity, and build climate‑resilient farms. Our goal: a thriving environment and productive land for future generations.
