Why Predator Control Matters
Every trap helps reduce introduced predators that threaten our native birds and wildlife.
Together, our community is creating a healthier environment for future generations.
Supported by our community
The Waiuku Predator Trap Library is a collaborative community initiative made possible through the support of several local organisations.
Sustainable Waiuku – established the Waiuku Predator Trap Library and helped build the strong community partnership that continues today.
Waiuku Zero Waste – generously hosts the trap library equipment and provides our community hub.
Auckland Council – helped us get started with funds from the Regional Environment & Natural Heritage Grant Programme.
Predator Free Franklin – continues to connect local predator control groups and volunteers across the region.
Te Ara Hīkoi – coordinates communications, promotion and admin support.
Together, we're making predator control more accessible and helping protect the wildlife that makes our region special.
