At 42, Wendy had the houses, the cars, the business, the French champagne and the hotel suites. Underneath it was a sexless marriage, no intimate touch and an empty heart. She hid behind alcohol, the gym and work until the day she found the courage to leave. With a blank canvas, her journey to sexual wellness began.
She came from pharmacy, a world of best business practice and composure. Then she stepped into the adult industry, where the open and sometimes coarse language felt like a wrestling ring. Instead of retreating, she got hungry. She learned the language with a Wendy twist, matched the products to good health and worked alongside boundary breaking industry leaders. She helped break down the sleazy barriers so women could talk openly about pleasure. She also told men that foreplay can be doing the dishes.
She then turned to people the industry had ignored. Most stores had no step free access, and in a range of close to 3,000 products only one had Braille. Wendy took sexual wellness to expos for people with different abilities, their families and their carers, because intimate freedom means the freedom to be included, to be seen and to experience pleasure without barriers.
Peaceful, kind and a little bit kick-ass, she plans to be a 90 year old still with a 20 year plan.
