The Werribee River Association Inc. (WRA) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation with a long history of caring for the Werribee River and its waterways.
Established in 1981, WRA has evolved from its strong foundations in grassroots advocacy and volunteer action into a respected organisation working across conservation, community engagement, education and policy.
Today, WRA works collaboratively with community members, government, industry and research partners to protect and restore the ecological health, cultural values and social significance of the Werribee River.
Guided by a whole-of-catchment perspective, the Association supports actions and decision-making that recognise the river as a living system and promote its long-term wellbeing for current and future generations
