The Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (WIFVC) is a representative, whole-of-sector reference group comprising key stakeholders committed to reducing family violence in Melbourne’s West.
WIFVC is the Family Violence Regional Integration Committee for the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne. This region has two service systems - Western Melbourne and Brimbank Melton - in which some services cover both inner west regions and some operate statewide. Funding is auspiced through a local organisation approved by DFFH which, in the Western Metropolitan region, is GenWest.
Participation in the WIFVC is open to organisations working in the seven western municipalities - Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Moonee Valley, Melton, Melbourne, Maribyrnong and Wyndham - who are committed to reducing violence to women and children. WIFVC is committed to a collaborative, cross sector approach to support the integration of service responses,
