WHO ARE WE EXACTLY?
Tim Shiel is a prolific musician and artist advocate living on Wurundjeri land. His deeply collaborative approach and playful open-minded production style have led him to work with many of Australia's most creative musicians, including Mindy Meng Wang 王萌, Cub Sport, Genesis Owusu, and Gotye. He has composed soundtracks for award-winning Australian games Duet and The Gardens Between, and is known to many music fans around Australia as a radio tastemaker across various roles at 3RRR, triple j, and Double J. He is currently the co-curator of High Score, an annual game audio conference that takes place during Melbourne International Games Week. He is also the host and producer behind new podcast Why Make Music.
Francesca Gonzales is an international touring and recording artist, psychology student, creative consultant, and community builder and facilitator based in Naarm. With a decade of active experience in the music industry, Francesca has developed a profound understanding of the complexities and challenges within the creative landscape. Over the last six years, she has run Breakfast Club - an inclusive and supportive space, uniting creatives to support one another, breaking down the isolation in their industry. Her commitment to well-being, reinforced by ongoing psychology studies, drives her endeavours to bring positive change to the industry. Through meaningful conversation, Francesca aims to foster a healthier and more compassionate environment within the creative industries.
