Willow Joy Salathiel
Creative Journeying CV
Creativity is the language of the soul and I am passionate in supporting Women to re-connect,
re-awaken and gain greater access to that language!
My approach is grounded, strength based and centred around understanding that each of us have within us, the knowing of what we need to restore health and harmony to our lives.
Most people respond to life, using their rational thought processes, or re-act from the deep unconscious beliefs they have about how they believe life to be: flowing with and responding to whatever life presents to them.
Layers of past trauma, limiting beliefs and circumstances often make it difficult to access our bodies wisdom and it is from the place of health and balance that positive decisions and life choices can be made.
When we trust the creative process and allow it to be our guide, we have the opportunity to discover both a voice for our painful memories and a pathway to our healing.
Always seeking to understand those places where logic ends and mystery begins. I spent many nights outside staring into the dark night skies. Curious about where I belong in this world. Trying to make sense of what I could feel, but not explain. My wanderings and curiosity fed my imaginings, becoming a profound source of inspiration for both my writing and artwork. Art and nature are where I flow into my ‘happy place’. They were and still are, inseparable.
Curiosity led to studies in
Certificate Initiatic/Clayfield Therapy
Diploma of Transpersonal and Art Therapy
Writing Fiction and Creative Arts
Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology)
Diploma of Primary Teaching
I have facilitated Art Therapy workshops with men and women of all ages, in the area of Drug and Alcoholic Rehabilitation and Treatment from a range of various traumas.
I remain enriched through my connection and wanderings with the natural world. It is the Earth medium of Clay that I am most aligned too. I know that this feeds into the way I work and inspires and reminds me to maintain a very grounded approach. I continue to learn and to be inspired to share and bare witness to people’s growth
