Established in 2016, WOMEN INDEPENDENT PRODUCERS [WIP] is a 501(c)6 membership collective of women and non-binary producers in the film and media industries who are dedicated to supporting and empowering each other through all stages of production.
Headquartered in New York and Los Angeles, WIP was founded to foster collaboration, mentorship, and shared resources among women producers. WIP provides a platform for networking, skill-building, self-care and advocacy as part of its Peer-Empowered Producer (PEP) Initiative. Members are primarily independent producers, spanning both emerging and seasoned professionals, working on a wide range of media projects, from feature films to documentaries and digital content. WIP’s mission centers on amplifying women’s voices in the industry and creating opportunities for women-led projects to thrive.
