At Words of a Feather . . . we write together.
Originally known as Creative Write-it, WOAF emerged in 2011 from a desire to provide a space for young writers to be inspired, engaged, and mentored by professional writers with the skills and passion to share.
Now, we are still a space for young writers, providing workshops, mentoring, and exciting opportunities to be published. But we are growing to bring together writers of all ages, in several locations around the world.
We all have stories to share, and more to learn. We are forever curious. We are not afraid to dig deeply, listen intently, explore further, and take the time to celebrate how far we have come.
At WOAF, we believe in creative writing as a tool for self-discovery, expression, connection, imagination, and joy.
In a world that is increasingly systemised and outcome-driven, creative writing is a sanctuary where we are free and encouraged to think for ourselves, find the power in our own voices, and have fun just for the sake of it.
