Hey there! I'm Jen, a yoga teacher and sound bath facilitator with German-Cuban roots, now based in the beautiful Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia.
My personal yoga and wellness journey began in 2011. During my first year of uni, I stumbled into my first yoga class at a local gym. Seeking balance in my fitness routine, I unexpectedly found myself drawn back to the yoga mat, a decision that would profoundly shape my path forward.
While graduating with a degree in Anthropology and Journalism from the Universities of Leipzig, Germany and São Paulo, Brazil, I embarked on many journeys through South America and Southeast Asia. These travels deepened my appreciation for ritual and practice, further enriching my understanding of different yoga traditions.
Splitting my time between Berlin and New York, my approach was shaped by the wonderfully inspiring teachers I encountered along the way. I finally decided to follow my heart and embark on my first yoga teacher training after settling in Australia in 2018 and have been sharing my love for the practice since.
My own teachings today, are a happy blend of ritual and mysticism mixed with practical and accessible movement. I believe in keeping things real - an accessible practice tailored to modern bodies and life with it's ups and downs. In the words of my teacher Carling Harps, "feel-good movement for (kinda) normal people".
