Founded in 1995 by local people from Cobargo and the region, the Yuin Folk Club Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated association and registered charity, located on the Far South Coast of NSW. The Club promotes and presents folk music, dance and folk culture, reflecting many diverse aspects of folk and roots music in Australia today. The club produces and organises the Cobargo Folk Festival each year, hosts an annual concert series featuring local, national and international artists and supports music education and development activities in Cobargo and the region. The Club is also active in supporting local community recovery from the devastating bushfires of 2019/2020.
Yuin Elder Auntie Eileen Morgan was a strong supporter of the Club. Auntie Eileen obtained permission from the local Yuin elders to use the Yuin name and to use the Yuin painting in our logo.
The Club organised the first Cobargo Folk Festival in 1996.
