In the event of cancellation of this raffle, this will be printed and published in the River City Press and Whanganui Cancer Society Facebook page on the 16th May 2024, and all money will be refunded. Prizes must be collected from House of Travel. Raffle drawn by a specialised raffle computer program under Police supervision at the Whanganui Police Station, 1D Bell St at 9.30am. By Licence issued under section 37 of the Gambling Act 2003. License approval number LT090000511 issued by Department of Internal Affairs, 45 Pipitea St, Thorndon, Wellington, 04 495 7200.

Terms and conditions

Competition entry and eligibility

1. This competition is open to New Zealand residents who are over the age of 18 years.
2.  Employees (and their immediate families) of House of Travel, its subsidiaries, related entities or agencies associated with the promotion are not eligible to participate.
3. The competition commences on 14 March 2024 and concludes at 11.59pm 5 May 2024. After this date and time no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

Prize details and prize draw

1. The winner will be randomly selected from the entries on 7 May 2024.
2. The winner will be notified by phone call and email.
3. If the winner has not confirmed receipt of the prize within seven days of being notified then, the prize will be forfeited. A redraw will occur and a new winner notified who shall have seven days in which to confirm receipt of the prize. This process will continue until receipt of the prize has been successfully confirmed.
4. The prize can only be redeemed at House of Travel Whanganui.
5. The prize is not refundable, not transferable, nor exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash or foreign exchange.
6. Blackout periods apply. Not valid for travel during Easter, Christmas, Public Holidays and NZ school holidays
7. Due to prior commercial demand your nominated dates or travel period may not be availability and in such cases the closest alternate arrangements will be made.
8. Reservations and ticketing must be completed at least (30) working days prior to the requested date of departure and travel must be completed by 30 September 2024. No extensions are possible. Any changes after tickets are issued may result in change fees or additional charges.
9. Flight travel is valid on Fiji Airways direct flights and is limited to two flight sectors only (WLG-NAN-WLG). Any disruptions will enable rebooking on next availability direct FJ flights.
10. Land arrangements including and not limited to hotel accommodation, transfers, and sightseeing is valid up to the value $5000.00.
11. The prize-winner and their companion must be travelling together on all sectors.

Additional terms

1. By participating in this competition, entrants confirm acceptance and agreement to the terms and conditions of this competition.
2. The promoter of this competition is House of Travel Whanganui Ltd.
3. We always recommend purchasing travel insurance. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the promoter.
4. The decisions of House of Travel on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. House of Travel reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. House of Travel reserves the right to amend the prizes offered and these terms and conditions and in its absolute discretion cancel the competition at any time and without prior notice.
5. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of or use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
6. Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to access, update and correct such information.
7. Privacy Collection Notification. House of Travel Holdings Limited and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. In addition to any other purposes we have made known to you, we will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to enable us to conduct this competition. 8. The Cancer Society is the faciliator and beneficiary of the raffle but is not responsible for the operation and delivery of the trip and as such holds no liability for the trip itself.
