Hour of Power: Stop Coal Pollution on the Central Coast
Event description
The Central Coast NSW has hosted a number of coal power stations over many years, all of which have polluted the air and water and left huge piles of coal ash behind. This has resulted in high levels of diseases among residents of the northern Central Coast, including cancers, asthma and chronic illnesses. Join us for an online Hour of Power to take action and get our voices heard to demand that the State government phase out coal power stations on the Central Coast and remediates the coal ash dams.
This free event will give you the info you need from the local experts and then we’ll all take action together in real time emailing the relevant Members of Parliament and then inviting our own networks online to get involved.
This is part of a series of monthly Hour of Power online events hosted by Narara Ecovillage in partnership with environmental groups on the Central Coast. Our expert guests will be from local group Future Sooner.
