Houseplants 101

Many of you come to our store and say "I love plants, but I have a brown thumb!". Welp, we have a feeling we can turn that brown thumb green!! 

In this workshop we will go over the following:

• Choosing the Right Plant: Do you have pets? Do you travel for work? Where do you envision this plant going? After we discuss everyone will choose a 4" plant that fits their lifestyle.
• Lighting: All plants need light. Let's chat about natural and artificial.
• Potting: We repot plants all day! We'll go over roots, how to split plants, how to diagnose root rot, how to know when to repot, etc. Everyone will learn to pot the plant of their chose in a 4" planter.
• Watering: We have big opinions on watering. We'll show you how we do it, but also how to do it if you live a busy lifestyle! 
• Pest/Disease: We'll discuss common pests, best practices for bringing a new plant home, how to prevent pests, how to treat pests, etc! 
• Propagation: Based off of the plant that you choose we'll discuss how/if it can be propagated and discuss the different methods that we use for propagating.
