Mon, 23 Nov, 7pm - 8pm EST

Forum Overview

You’re invited to join the second Online SA Home & Living Community Stakeholder Forum, continuing our bi-monthly series for professionals working across home and living supports in South Australia.

Following our first forum, we’re bringing the community together again to continue the conversation, share sector updates and work through real practice challenges together.

Navigating home and living supports through the NDIS can be one of the most complex challenges facing support coordinators and allied health professionals, and too often, practitioners are working through these challenges alone.

This forum is a peer-led space to stay informed, share practical and creative approaches, and learn from the experiences of others across the sector.

Who this is for

  • Specialist support coordinators

  • Allied health professionals

  • Others working with NDIS participants on home and living supports in South Australia

What we’ll cover

Each session will include:

  • A sector update

  • A short presentation or case study

  • Open practice discussion shaped by you and others in the session

It’s also an opportunity to build your knowledge, exchange ideas with peers and support your ongoing professional development.

Speakers

Our speakers will bring a mix of sector and specialist housing expertise, with guest speaker details to be announced.

  • Edwina Roberts, Housing Hub's SA Disability Housing Specialist

  • Liv King, NDS SA State Manager

Hosted by Housing Hub

Housing Hub is Australia’s accessible housing platform, connecting people with disability to homes that suit their needs and preferences.

Housing Hub also works across the disability housing sector to support stronger practice, better information sharing and improved housing outcomes for people with disability.

The best part of my role is hearing from people in the community and their families that we have provided support to them in some way. I also really enjoy making connections with providers and community groups. I have lived experience of 20+ years, my first role was supporting my son whilst living in rural remote South Australia. He is an amazing success story of perseverance, creative thinking and resourcefulness. I want to be able to be part of a solution and the conversation in supporting people like my son and our family.
