    Event description

The Housing Hub team shares knowledge with people with disability, so you can find the home that is right for you. With the NDIS there are new choices. Our team includes staff with lived experience who will share their expertise.

If you are a person with a psychosocial, cognitive or sensory disability and would like to know what housing options there are for you, then this panel session will be for you. Our panellists are:

    Josie Galeng - Neami National

    Mark Heeney - MIND Australia

This free online information session is for people with disability, their families, and support workers. While support coordinators, allied health professionals, and support providers are welcome to attend, our Housing Hub Training sessions may better meet their needs.

    Join us and learn about:

    - Housing and support options that are available under the NDIS including SDA, SIL and ILO

    - Eligibility and processes for applying for public housing

    - What is community housing and how do you get it?

    - Pros and cons for living in  mainstream housing, such as rentals, when you have a disability

    - Ways in which you could own a home

    - Home modifications and portable housing
